This is my second illustration of Lily Allen's Chinese. the first is here . My dear friend pointed out that this kinda looks like my other characters sitting on a couch. if it was them it would be them much later and Jaick would have turned into a dog =}
The lines of the song that inspired this are:
"I don't want anything more
Than to see your face when you open the door
You'll make me beans on toast and a nice cup of tea
And we'll get a Chinese and watch TV
Tomorrow we'll take the dog for a walk
And in the afternoon then maybe we'll talk
I'll be exhausted so I'll probably sleep
And we'll get a Chinese and watch TV"

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living." -Gail Sheehy
I've been listening to a lot of Traveling songs lately. Ah, the call of the Airport! Really I'm starting to get tired of Colorado. I normally go on at least one trip a summer because of ARTistic Pursuits Inc. (my parents Art curriculum company). I work for them and they normally need me to help work a conference but this year I wasn't needed. Now I'm itching to go somewhere. So from this need to go somewhere and habit of listening to traveling music (most of which is written/sung by Michael Nesmith) I have created a girl with a guitar in an airport.
I'm rather proud of the guitar in this picture, though its simple. Its the first time I've drawn an instrument (besides a drum set) since 7th grade...actually more like 6th.
