When she opened her eyes, she found herself alone--in the dark--with the Monsters. The kids were gone! Had the Monsters gobbled them up? But why? She had given them candy... She tried to be brave, but she couldn't hold out any longer. Hannah began to cry. When, suddenly, out of the darkness came the sound of sobbing--much louder than her own!
"BOOHOO!BOOHOO!"
Why would anybody be crying louder than a little girl left alone in a Spook House? Hannah choked back her tears and decided to find out.
"hey, lady--Why are you crying?"
"because I like the sound of the Boos in that Boo Hoo Hooing! Hello, Hannah Marie-- I'm your... Scary Godmother! I'm here because you need me!"
-Scary Godmother, by Jill Thompson
This is how the best little kids Halloween story and characters begins. well this is where you first meet Scary, who i love. I've been trying to make a scary godmother costume for years. i just realized that Bug-A-Boo would be easyer and cooler looking so here is my design for him.
So! blue hairspray, blue facepaint and his nose, mouth and teeth painted on. the dress is grey faux fur. some hairclips with his eyes on them and white ceramic horns in the hair. i'm thinking of doing the arms and legs by buying some tights, dyeing them blue and sharpieing the dark stripes onto them. there will be holes on the hands and feet for claw gloves and white heels to come through. also a red cloth tail pinned to the dress. the guy version would probably be the same exept that i would have to buy pants and a shirt, dye them, and sharpie the stripes, instead of tights. also the fur dress would have to be a vest instead.
here are examples of his eyes. they will be on hair clips:
and here is what Bug-A-Boo looks like!
so yeah... i like him! lol well goodnight!
Best Wishes!
